2017 SILVER AWARD FOR DIGITAL INNOVATOR
OF THE YEAR
Cannon Hall Farm
Cannon Hall Farm, South Yorkshire
The team at Cannon Hall Farm has invested significantly in time and money across all digital platforms.
Operating across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, owner Richard and marketing manager Nicky Hyde are offering an extension of what is already happening on their mixed farming and diversification enterprise.
Their Facebook Live broadcasts have been particularly well received, opening up the world of farming to a wider audience around the world.
During key times of year, Robert takes the viewer on a journey and his distinct broadcast style receives tens of thousands of views and hundreds of interactions around the world.
Their Facebook page, which has more than 97,000 likes, now carries a video header rather than a static image after they spotted this as a recent new addition to their Facebook marketing armoury. Instagram has grown very fast over a short period of time gaining more than 6,500 followers, while Twitter has been used for longer and secured 28,000 followers.
The website is full of pictures and interaction from the working farm and offers many ways to book an increasing range of special events. This is achieved by keeping content fresh and topical and bearing in mind the younger demographic of the average user.
They plan to launch an online shop, focusing on selling home-produced meat, but expecting to expand into grocery, cookware and deli items.
